Nightstand 2013: Week Nine
February 18, 2013 § 2 Comments
What I’m reading this week:
- “As Families Change, Korea’s Elderly Are Turning to Suicide” by Choe Sang-Hun (The New York Times, February 16, 2013)
- “Joseph Mitchell’s Ear for New York” by Erin Overbey (“Page-Turner” blog, The New Yorker, February 17, 2013)
- “Omaha Couple Faces Alzheimer’s Together” by Michael O’Connor (Omaha World-Herald, February 11, 2013)
- Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can’t Stop Talking by Susan Cain (2012)
- “Raising Adam Lanza” by Alaine Griffin and Josh Kovner (The Hartford Courant, February 17, 2013)
Susan Cain is on my list, too. Let me know what you think!
I’m almost done with it — just a couple more chapters. Highly recommend it. It helps me better understand my temperament, limitations, how I interact with and see the world, and even my tendencies toward extroversion and how I pull that off even though I’m a true blue introvert. Definitely give it a read.
